All Kovobel Demount-able Storage Containers do not require any foundation/base. However, a levelled surface is preferred when assembling any unit. For levelling out the unit completely, we use a selection of slates in order to allow the doors to open and close without any interruption.
Leads times vary with different units. With all standard units (Double-doors on the front end), the lead time is up to 5 working days if the unit is in stock. For special units such as: Double side doors, single side doors, office units, etc, the lead time could be up 10 weeks as there would be limited stock on special units. If you are interested in any unit on display, please contact us in order to find out the exact lead time as we may have the required unit in stock.
Firstly, each unit contains two anti theft devices on each side wall - One at the top and one at the bottom (of each side wall). This feature is installed to ensure that any unauthorized personnel attempting to loosen any bolts from the outside, will not be able to do so. The concept of this security feature is that the more you try to loosen the bolt from the outside, the more tighter it will get from the inside. This means that any unauthorized personnel will be unable to disassemble the storage unit. Secondly, each unit has a two-turn locking system with three keys. Thirdly, every unit can come with an anti-vandal bar for extra security. The vandal bar slots into each bracket which is installed from the inside of the unit on the left and the right side. The vandal bar is then secured by a pad-lock.
Unfortunately, the universal width for all Kovobel Demount-able Storage Units is 2.2 meters (external). However, it is possible to add double side doors onto any storage unit from 3 meter up to a 6 meter. This type of unit would allow you to store any wide goods.

Kovobel Storage Units can be disassembled. Which means that they can be assembled in tight and narrow spaces where a crane would not be able to access. This would also save you a lot of money by not having to hire a crane.Shipping containers can also be dropped by crane and do not have a feature where they can be disassembled and re-assembled again. Kovobel Storage Units can also be stacked 6 high while in transit - this can save you a huge amount of money. Transporting one shipping container would be equivalent to transporting 6 Kovobel Units. All Kovobel Units have a galvanized finish on them to ensure long life and durability. Shipping containers are mostly painted on which means that it will flake and rust will develop over time. Kovobel Units also come in 20ft sizes.

Kovobel galvanised steel containers are hard wearing and long lasting with exceptional corrosion protection. The zinc coating application on the steel ensures the units are protected in all weathers and prevents rust and corrosion. The stock galvanised appearance of the units may not be to everyone’s taste, especially if they are to be stored in a domestic setting, so a paint finish can be applied by the owner when assembled.
A ‘Direct to Galvanised Metal Paint’ is advised for a longer lasting finish.
